For the Love of Flowers. { Julia's Floral Design at Bridle Oaks Barn} {Deland}

Forever… I've been in love with flowers. I feel so lucky lately 

because each time Julia brings them to the barn I get to feel, smell

and sometime photograph these little beauties that nature has given

to us as gifts. I just love looking at all the intricacies with each and every one.

The differences in texture, color and smell. They really are amazing, if you

think about it. Julia does such a wonderful job arranging them. I can't say

enough how much I appreciate her being able to create these works of art

with my brides. They all love her and even if they only get a bouquet, 

she still puts the same amount of love and attention to the creation. 

If you want flowers for any reason, Julia at Julia's Floral Designs in

Deland is the place to go. It sounds like an info-mercial… but it's not ! 

I just truly adore and appreciate what she does for our weddings and

events! 

Busy Bees on the Farm ! {Bee Photography} {Bridle Oaks Barn}

Gosh, I can't believe I've waited this long to do another post!

I feel terrible about that, but I've been SO so busy here at

Bridle Oaks.  It's just amazing what's been happening.

We are almost booked solid (for Saturdays) next year for weddings.

We had a hugely successful open house and luncheon hosted by

The Perfect Wedding Guide last week.

But before that… we had a stylized shoot that was organized

by Jessica at Encore Events It was so cool to see the beautiful

models completely finished with hair and makeup by

 Tatiana with Elegant Occasions

The photography was done by the terrific husband and wife duo,

Brandi and Jonathan of Bee Photography. Below, I have chosen some of

Tatiana came out to see me before the barn was even built!

She had the first ideas for the stylized shoot. It was really cool to see

her vision come to fruition. Working right along her was Jessica at

Encore Events, and she styled everything for the shoot.  Thanks to all of the above for

making Bridle Oaks look like such a magical place to have a wedding ! 

Our First Event was Awesome ! {Bridle Oaks Barn} {Doug's 40th!}

Well, Our first event was so much fun that we didn't get home

until 1:00am. If you knew me, you'd know something was 

definitely going right over at Bridle Oaks Barn!

 This was my amazing brother's 40th birthday. My sister in law

had planned such a fun and cool birthday for my brother with

all his longtime friends and of course, our family.

The greatest thing is that my brother, Doug, has some

REALLY INCREDIBLE

people in his life and circle of friends. We had world-class

skydivers, doctors, pilots,  EXTREMELY talented musicians, 

serpentarium owners, skiers, snowboarders, poets, painters, 

and a host of crane operators ! LOL  A grand collection of people all to 

celebrate this great guys life and milestone birthday.

 Everything with the first test of the cocktail barn went smooth. 

Acoustics were great, lighting, and parking…. everything was

just cozy and unique. I can't wait for some special brides to experience the

uniqueness and fun that Bridle Oaks Barn has to offer!

We've broke ground …. and we have a BLUE floor! { Bridle Oaks Barn }

Exciting news to share on this happy Friday !

Bridle Oaks Barn, the REAL barn, the BIG barn 

has broken ground! It's only a matter of approx. 8 weeks and 

our reception and event barn will be finished. My father

was one happy camper to see these bulldozers out there 

today, and so were we ! Falcon was eyeing the bright yellow

bulldozers with suspicion, just yesterday we were riding out

there on a flat, large pasture area. In other news… our cocktail

barn (otherwise known as The Coop) now has an awesome stained 

blue floor. It looks fantastic, and really adds a bright pop of 

color to our venue. We have also started some more serious

landscaping. Today 45 Flax Lily's were added in some border areas. 

Next up…. the finishing touches on our outdoor altar area and

new fencing out front at the entrance area.

A New Year …. A new adventure awaits! { Bridle Oaks Barn}

Hi Everybody... 

I have some exciting news to share! During the next

year, 2015, a new event venue will open in Deland, FL.

Bridle Oaks Barn, which will be situated on 5 beautiful acres in Deland

 will feature a 3500' sq ft traditional western style barn, and a second open-air barn 

suitable for a cocktail hour or a smaller gathering. Two different altar options

for brides-to-be will be available. Heavily wooded, this venue will be

very special with detailed gathering areas, ample parking and even some 

romantic little trails. A Paso-fino horse, possibly a donkey or some 

alpacas will also be on the property. The photo opportunities will be plentiful !

We are so excited to start sharing photos and other information.

But for now….

Lets work on a logo design together!

I need your help and feedback. 

Below are some logos that I've designed. Lets vote and get some feedback 

on what you like and / or don't like !  I was trying for something a little

romantic, a little elegant but with a touch of rustic.
