For the Love of Flowers. { Julia's Floral Design at Bridle Oaks Barn} {Deland}

Forever… I've been in love with flowers. I feel so lucky lately
because each time Julia brings them to the barn I get to feel, smell
and sometime photograph these little beauties that nature has given
to us as gifts. I just love looking at all the intricacies with each and every one.
The differences in texture, color and smell. They really are amazing, if you
think about it. Julia does such a wonderful job arranging them. I can't say
enough how much I appreciate her being able to create these works of art
with my brides. They all love her and even if they only get a bouquet,
she still puts the same amount of love and attention to the creation.
If you want flowers for any reason, Julia at Julia's Floral Designs in
Deland is the place to go. It sounds like an info-mercial… but it's not !
I just truly adore and appreciate what she does for our weddings and
events!

Heather and Dale at Bridle Oaks

It's been too long since I did a blog post! I guess things have been
VERY busy at the barn. I've been meeting with so many upcoming
brides, helping to plan weddings, feeding chickens, cleaning up…
time has just passed by.
Last night we probably had the BEST wedding YET!
Why… you ask? Well.. mostly because the people make a wedding,
and all of Heathers guests made it a fun and memorable night.
But also… it's  because Heather took our advice and used the best vendors
we know.  It made the night beautiful, seamless, memorable, and most of all.. fun!
Julia from Julia's Floral Design  did an incredible job with the flowers
and there were a LOT of them … It was amazing!!
DJ Phil  did a most excellent job with the DJ'ing and music. He made
sure he had guests out on the dance floor all night… they even had a
lip sync battle! 4 Rivers did the catering. Food was hot, delicious and ready to go.
They also clean up everything… which saves everyone a ton of work.
J & T was bartending. Our favorite bartenders who are ready and willing
to lend a hand anytime with anything. I only took a few photos,
but please view them. What a great night!
Congratulations to Heather and Dale, who now jet off to
exciting ICELAND for their honeymoon!!
BBRRR ! Snuggle up and have fun!

Busy Bees on the Farm ! {Bee Photography} {Bridle Oaks Barn}

Gosh, I can't believe I've waited this long to do another post!
I feel terrible about that, but I've been SO so busy here at
Bridle Oaks.  It's just amazing what's been happening.
We are almost booked solid (for Saturdays) next year for weddings.
We had a hugely successful open house and luncheon hosted by
The Perfect Wedding Guide last week.
But before that… we had a stylized shoot that was organized
by Jessica at Encore Events It was so cool to see the beautiful
models completely finished with hair and makeup by
The photography was done by the terrific husband and wife duo,
Brandi and Jonathan of Bee Photography. Below, I have chosen some of
my favorite photos from their shoot. Just to give credit where credit is due:
The flowers were byUnion Blooms Floral
The cake was from Cupcake Crazy
The beautiful gowns! CasaDiBella at Celebration

All this was made possible because of the idea of this person:
Tatiana at Elegant Occasions, Orlando.

Tatiana came out to see me before the barn was even built!
She had the first ideas for the stylized shoot. It was really cool to see
her vision come to fruition. Working right along her was Jessica at
Encore Events, and she styled everything for the shoot.  Thanks to all of the above for
making Bridle Oaks look like such a magical place to have a wedding !

I'M a CHICK MAGNET! ( Bridle Oaks Barn)

Ok, look, I have a confession. I'm a total chick magnet.
When these little babies are born, I can't get enough.
I think about them when I first wake up and can't wait to
get over to the barn to make sure they are still ok.
(we've had some critter mishaps… which were very sad with past litters)
By the way, what do you call a group of new chicks?
A litter?  A crop? A flock?  No. Not sure about that one.
Did you know that the chicks all go and hide under the mother hen
when there's any danger? It's so sweet. You'd never know there
were ten little chicks under her, she hides them so well.
Here you see my son, who is also a chick magnet.
With baby chicks and otherwise… LOL

Enjoy the photos!

Barn Blessing and Misc photos ! { www.bridleoaksbarn.com}

Wanted to share some photos with you from this past Sunday
out at Bridle Oaks Barn. We had a barn blessing from Pastor Mike
Coleman. It was very special. We had approximately 65 close
friends and family attend our ceremony. The best part was the
pot-luck afterwards! Pastor Coleman may also hold random
Sunday morning church services out at the altar during the year.
I'll keep you posted for a schedule.
We are counting down the days to our first wedding, Sept 5th !
I believe we have 16 days left to finish our work and get all
the last minute details in place. Crunch Time!
By the way, many have been asking about our website.
We DO have a website up at:
www.bridleoaksbarn.com

Please check it out !
