Boon's Beautiful Evening. { Bridle Oaks Barn} { Event } { Deland, FL }

Wow,  it's been a long time since I've posted. Well, I definitely have a good reason to, tonight!

Last weekend we had quite a wonderful evening at Bridle Oaks Barn. We had a tasting for 16 brides with Anthony from Smoke Showin' BBQ and Catering.  It's really the most wonderful BBQ on the planet. Anthony cooks all the food fresh on site and his fire chief James, smokes all the meat. You have to check them out if you like GREAT, fresh, LOCALLY SOURCED food!
So after we had eaten, I had a little surprise for the brides. (well, a large and handsome surprise!)

We were also lucky enough to have Sunbelt Rentals donate a huge AC unit for the barn, so all our guests were comfortable. Big thanks to Jerry Trapp for that donation !

BOON, a beautiful draft horse from Moonlit Acre in Deland, guided by Laura Moon came and drove his carriage right into the barn. The gasp when everyone saw him, I'll never forget. Laura gives carriage rides to brides at the barn. It is a very special service and Boon is the sweetest horse ever.
She donated this to us for the night so the brides there could see and meet Boon. Then, she gave free carriage rides.

Then... the excitement didn't stop there ! Laura from Laura Reynolds Artistry  came and did gorgeous makeup and hair on a model (thanks Molly!) for a photoshoot we had a little later. I'm so happy to have Laura here as our go-to Hair and Makeup girl !

Julia from Julias Floral Design made a stunning bouquet, headpiece and arrangement for the dessert table in the barn. All were gorgeous and dramatic. We love our Julia and knew the bouquet would be perfect.

Of course Alice from Alice's Art Gallery did the photo shoot and is responsible for all the photos you see here. We love Alice and she did a fantastic job!

One of our in-house coordinators, Ashley Richards Events did the tables and decor in the barn, and everything was lovely.

All in all, it was such a memorable and fun night. I never knew I'd meet such cool people and make such great connections at Bridle Oaks. It's truly an honor to know all of you, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for contributing to Bridle Oaks for all of our events!

For the Love of Flowers. { Julia's Floral Design at Bridle Oaks Barn} {Deland}

Forever… I've been in love with flowers. I feel so lucky lately 

because each time Julia brings them to the barn I get to feel, smell

and sometime photograph these little beauties that nature has given

to us as gifts. I just love looking at all the intricacies with each and every one.

The differences in texture, color and smell. They really are amazing, if you

think about it. Julia does such a wonderful job arranging them. I can't say

enough how much I appreciate her being able to create these works of art

with my brides. They all love her and even if they only get a bouquet, 

she still puts the same amount of love and attention to the creation. 

If you want flowers for any reason, Julia at Julia's Floral Designs in

Deland is the place to go. It sounds like an info-mercial… but it's not ! 

I just truly adore and appreciate what she does for our weddings and

events! 

We're officially 30 days out !! Updates to Bridle Oaks Barn… { Deland Rustic Venue}

Wow! What a busy couple of weeks. There have been so many things

happening at the barn, I have to apologize for not updating you guys

sooner! I've been working out there everyday, and usually when I 

get home it's a mad rush to get every one fed and settled for the evening. 

Today, Ashley and I (my sister in law, partner in crime, and awesome

day-of planner) really worked hard to get some things finished up.

We hung market lighting in the seated areas of the barn, laid over

20 bales of pine needles in walking areas, moved sod, created a walkway

to the fire pit, met with our linen lady and created lots of havoc and fun !  

Here are some photos of the lighting in the barn, the restroom area (with tin roof accent)

some of the landscaping (not finished) and some other misc photos.

I'll check in again when we have some pavered walkways 

finished later this week ! 

Julia's Floral Design at Bridle Oaks Barn {Deland Florist} {Julia's Floral Design}

Ok… How to contain myself…

Been wanting to post this since we did our 

stylized shoot ! I was recommended to use Julia, of Julia's Floral Design 

from a friend in the wedding industry, and a fellow Deland resident.

I can't tell you how happy I am to know her and to have found her. 

I only wish I could use her exclusively for our brides! (maybe someday)

She did a STUNNING job on the flowers for our shoot and she was

incredibly generous, patient and worked so hard for us. I can't

say enough good about Julia and my experience with her. She is a 

true talent and gem in this industry, and I wholly recommend her 

for any bride who gets married at Bridle Oaks, or anywhere! 

C'mon ya'll…. she used artichokes in an arrangement !!

How cool is that! 

The bouquet was absolutely gorgeous, so romantic and Southern,

which is exactly the look we were going for. 

And the table centerpiece….. AH!!

She put it on a pedestal ! So pretty…

Bridle Oaks first stylized shoot featuring photography by Alice's Art Gallery [AAG} {Deland}

I'm so excited to share with you the first glimpse of

some great photography from  Bridle Oaks Barn. 

Alyssa, (aka. Alice) of Alice's Art Gallery AAG, of Deland, FL

did a fantastic job capturing so many sweet moments at

our shoot. We had Falcon all dressed up in some beautiful 

florals from Julia's Floral Design ! (also from Deland, FL)

**More on those flowers plus many other incredible arrangements

coming up later in the week. For now I'll share just a few amazing

photos from our shoot. It was so nice to put the photography job

into someone else's hands…. but the best part was how easy Alice made it.

She was accommodating, generous with her time, easy to work with,

and as shown here, did a beautiful job!  I urge anyone who would

like to capture a special person or event to contact her.
