Going inside the barn and a kiss from a horse! {Bridle Oaks Barn} Deland, FL

So I thought I'd get you caught up on the progress of the barn today
by taking some interior shots. The inside of the barn is really
such a cool space. It's hard to see how big it is in these photos.
I need to borrow a super wide-angle lens in order to capture it correctly.
We also put up two copper weathervanes on top of each clear-story.
A horse and an eagle now adorn the top of our barn !
Speaking of horses, Falcon was being super comical today.
He put on my son's hat and he also gave my dad a big horse kiss..
LOL… Enjoy the photos! If you or anyone you know is planning a
wedding and interested in taking a tour of Bridle Oaks, please
call or email Shawna at: 386-216-2147 or shawnaeverett@gmail.com
Thanks!!

Ps. Next blog post will include photos of our new mix-matched china
which Ashley is collecting for our brides!

Falcon and Finch coming home Saturday! { Bridle Oaks Barn }

Well… the time has finally come. This Saturday, our beautiful paso-fino horse
Falcon, and his cohort and partner in crime, Finch, will finally get to meet
each other and check out their new digs too !  Falcon has been with a wonderful
trainer in Deland for two months. He has been getting fit, healthy, and we have also
been taking riding lessons on him. (myself and my sis-in-law Ashley, that is)
We couldn't be more excited to introduce them to their new barn and surroundings.
Ashley and I will continue riding Falcon and learning from Judy, our trainer.
Bridle Oaks barn wouldn't be complete without a couple of farm animals, and we
are truly blessed to have inherited such a great horse with the property. For those
of you who may not know, horses are pack animals and need a friend or two to keep
them happy. Donkeys are wonderful friends for horses. Plus… Finch will also
protect Falcon from any predators (like coyotes) I know it sounds crazy, but it's true!

Photos below!

(Finch has his winter coat on, so he's looking a bit shabby here!)
Oh, and don't they have the cutest little trailer to ride home in?
