Heather and Dale at Bridle Oaks

It's been too long since I did a blog post! I guess things have been

VERY busy at the barn. I've been meeting with so many upcoming 

brides, helping to plan weddings, feeding chickens, cleaning up… 

time has just passed by. 

Last night we probably had the BEST wedding YET!

Why… you ask? Well.. mostly because the people make a wedding,

and all of Heathers guests made it a fun and memorable night.

But also… it's  because Heather took our advice and used the best vendors

we know.  It made the night beautiful, seamless, memorable, and most of all.. fun!

Julia from Julia's Floral Design  did an incredible job with the flowers

and there were a LOT of them … It was amazing!!

DJ Phil  did a most excellent job with the DJ'ing and music. He made

sure he had guests out on the dance floor all night… they even had a

lip sync battle! 4 Rivers did the catering. Food was hot, delicious and ready to go. 

They also clean up everything… which saves everyone a ton of work.

J & T was bartending. Our favorite bartenders who are ready and willing

to lend a hand anytime with anything. I only took a few photos, 

but please view them. What a great night! 

Congratulations to Heather and Dale, who now jet off to

exciting ICELAND for their honeymoon!!

Amazing….Bliss Pastry ! {Deland wedding cakes} { Bridle Oaks Barn}

I can't believe I found this little hidden gem right in

my own home town! Kristin is the baker and ultimate

cake maker at Bliss Pastry,  which she owns in Deland, FL

Her cakes are just stunning. There is no other word! 

I am SO excited to use her out at Bridle Oaks. I hope

every. single. bride.

Our doors have been built and installed ! { Bridle Oaks barn} {Deland}

Ok, I told you guys I had a little surprise today…. Our double

doors were set up today that the bride will walk through on the

way to the altar !! We also landscaped a large area

behind and around them. It all looks so pretty.

 They are customizable in several spots. Up top you

could hang a flower garland, fabric or paint a quote on wood. 

You could even put tiny white lights on them. The possibilities are

endless! We've been so busy this week. 

OH !!  One more thing…..

 ! WE PASSED OUR FINAL INSPECTION ! 

What a great weekend it's going to be...

The Concrete truck arrived….. FINALLY ! { Bridle Oaks Barn}

I've been hearing about this infamous concrete truck that was

going to make a visit to our property for two months now. 

It was time to pour the final slabs and also the exterior 

D A N C E   F L O O R ! 

Well, they finally made it and all looks great! 

Now we can finish so many things that the concrete

truck would've ran over … ( like landscaping!)

Bridle Oaks is really coming along nicely...

We have booked 12 weddings now, and 3 other events. 

So much happens every day that it's been hard to find the time

to blog. Monday we have a very exciting day.

Our very first stylized shoot happening in the afternoon.

You will hear about this for sure, here on the blog, soon after.

Going inside the barn and a kiss from a horse! {Bridle Oaks Barn} Deland, FL

So I thought I'd get you caught up on the progress of the barn today

by taking some interior shots. The inside of the barn is really

such a cool space. It's hard to see how big it is in these photos.

 I need to borrow a super wide-angle lens in order to capture it correctly. 

We also put up two copper weathervanes on top of each clear-story.

A horse and an eagle now adorn the top of our barn ! 

Speaking of horses, Falcon was being super comical today.

He put on my son's hat and he also gave my dad a big horse kiss..

Western style Birthday Party at Bridle Oaks { Bridle Oaks, Deland, FL }

My son Preston turns eight on May 1st, so we decided to 

have his party at the Bridle Oaks Barn. The kids loved

seeing the donkey, horse and our 13 new little chicks.

I noticed the girls really liked the chicks and the boys liked

the waterside better ! I guess that makes sense. We had

lots of food, a little photo booth area and some crafts for 

the kids to do. It was great fun and very nice to have a party 

like this somewhere OTHER than your own house.
